Yes, all students are required to dress in school uniforms.  For specific information about the uniforms please contact Vernette Johnson in the school office at 215-724-6858, ext. 223.

The School District of Philadelphia provides a certified school nurse who is at the school one day every week.

Students living in Philadelphia County beyond 1.5 miles of CCA and attending grades 1 – 6 are provided transportation by the School District of Philadelphia. Students in 7th and 8th grades will get a TransPass for public transportation. Students who live in the surrounding counties are eligible for transportation services from their school district.

You may notify Cornerstone of your student’s need for a TransPass. We will submit Transpass Information Sheets to SEPTA on your behalf. Students qualify for TransPass according to the regulations of the School District of Philadelphia, which state that students must live 1½ miles or more from Cornerstone.

No, although there is a 3% tuition discount if the full amount is paid prior to the start of school.  Otherwise, families have the option to pay tuition on a monthly basis over the course of 10 months.

Cornerstone partners with the Children’s Scholarship Fund and will accept the fund’s scholarship payments on behalf of parents. If approved for a scholarship, a student may receive financial assistance for up to four years of enrollment at Cornerstone. If your student receives additional scholarship funds, bring the award letter(s) to Cornerstone at the time of registration. The school will verify the award(s) and deduct it from your tuition balance.

Yes, all students are provided with free breakfast and hot lunch every day. Students can also choose to bring their own lunch. For additional information please contact Vernette Johnson in the school office at (215) 724-6858 ext. 223.

Yes, Cornerstone provides Before School and After School enrichment for students. Parents can drop their child off at The Common Place at 7:05 a.m. for Before School care. We are in discussions with The Common Place Scholars After-School Program to continue for the 2020-21 and will update accordingly.

Yes. School Counselor, Meg Born, is available to help students with their social, emotional, and educational development. Students and parents are encouraged to meet with Mrs. Born when needed. The Counselor works closely with professionals from Elwyn to provide behavioral and educational services to our students.
