Summer Happens Here

We offer a well-rounded educational experience that continues the learning beyond classroom lessons. Clubs, field trips, supplemental technology courses, and wraparound programming provide the opportunity for our students to find their strengths and soar.

  1. J-ROCK Summer Camp

Registration is now open for J-ROCK 2024. This year’s camp runs from June 24 to August 9, Monday through Friday, 8:00AM – 4:00PM.

Each summer both Cornerstone students and community children, attend this 7-week summer camp. 2. Summer Academy

Cornerstone’s Summer Academy Program is focused on preparing students for the next school year. Whether your child is a new student or a current student looking to improve their academic goals, the Summer Academy seeks to impart new experiential learning opportunities to ensure success for the next school year. It is designed to show school students that learning can be fun, engaging, and goes beyond the four walls of a classroom. Please note Summer Academy is mandatory for all new incoming students. The 2024 session runs from June 18 – July 11, Mondays – Thursdays from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

  3. Camp Tockwogh

Each summer, ten Cornerstone students are selected by the Principal to spend a week at Camp Tockwogh, on the shoreline of the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. Campers participate in sailing, water-skiing, sports, horseback riding, hiking, outdoor explorations, and relationship-building. (Free, with scholarships provided by Cornerstone and Camp Tockwogh.) For more information on applying for Tockwogh scholarships, contact Cornerstone’s Community Engagement Manager, Gayle Gaskin at
