Cornerstone’s New Director of Development

Introducing Lauren Maloney

Dear Friends and Families of the Cornerstone Community,

It is with great pride and pleasure that I announce the hiring of Lauren Maloney as Cornerstone Christian Academy’s new Director of Development, effective February 15, 2021.

Lauren joins Cornerstone with years of experience in Education and Advancement, coming to us from her role as Director of Alumni Engagement at the Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square. Having also graduated from Episcopal, she brings both proven experience and a faith-based perspective to her new role.

During the hiring process, the Selection Committee was blown away by Lauren’s knowledge of Philadelphia’s educational field, and Cornerstone specifically. After her interview, the committee members asked themselves, “did anyone record that perfect presentation on Cornerstone?” Lauren’s amazing working knowledge of our school’s history and accomplishments was as if she had been with us for years.

A graduate of Lafayette College, Lauren went on to earn her M.S.Ed. from The University of Pennsylvania. She served as an Inaugural Fellow at Lafayette before joining the Episcopal Advancement Office in 2015. She currently lives in Bryn Mawr with her husband James.

On behalf of myself, the Board of Trustees, and the entire Cornerstone community, I enthusiastically welcome Lauren to our team. Her commitment to the underserved children in Southwest Philadelphia, and her tenacious drive to make a difference at Cornerstone are the perfect ingredients for our next Director of Development.

We look forward to her experience, leadership, and creativity as we move forward into an amazing future for our school.

Sincerely,

Rev. Daryl W. Winston, President and CEO
